It's a rare day in New Orleans when you wake up to snow. Schools close, people call off work & those that do show up build snowmen on the hoods of their cars, local newscasters sing & dance, kids play football on the neutral ground, & everyone drives really sloooow. Yeah, this almost never happens. We're glad it happened while we still had Christmas trees standing around...

Santa @ The Garden Gate, 2008

Christmas Kids Class @ The Garden Gate on Metairie Road gets better every year. The day was gorgeous, the kids had fun... And now it's time to find the photo of your kid with Santa Claus! New French Pottery

We finally stumbled across this potter after 3 years of looking for her. It was a 15 hr plane trip, 2 hour train ride and 6.5 hour car adventure to make it to Saint Jean du Fos, France. Corrine is a true artist and she was very excited to see us. I have been communicating with her via email for a year or so and it's funny when you finally meet someone who you only know via email. Anyway it was worth the trip, we order a container full of beautiful pottery that will amaze everyone.

These are the great things about Garden Gate. We spend a lot of time working on the small things that make us smile each day. The playground is often filled with children just being kids and my boxwood garden makes my wife, Beth smile each day. Garden Gate is just about making everyone happy.

Lovina House

The Lovina House is a new product we are carry at The Garden Gate. It is used for pool house, yoga/ exercise rooms and garden rooms. It features ipe wood which is also known as Iron Wood to trim the structure out. It is really easy to build with almost no tools and just 2 people.
