I have not been a fan of all the PVC garden products that have come to market the last few years but that all changed yesterday.  Our favorite UPS man pulled up in front of The Garden Gates with loads of boxes from Mayne Outdoor Products.  Beth and I discovered these products recently while at market on accident and they had a few  self watering planters that caught my attention.  I place a sample order to test the product myself( without the salesman tell me they are great) Fast forward to yesterday and we installed one of the window planters  to see if they really do meet but utility and beauty.

I think the window planters are a nice addition to any area of a home.  I like that fact that they are white , clean and simple.  The installation process is fast with easy to follow direction and take about 10 minutes.  I used a level( because I really like things to be just right), pencil and a cordless screw driver( you can install the metal brackets by hand) You can see in the pictures below that the decorative bracket mounts( with 2 screws) to the iron wall bracket( this is sold separately and adds the finished detailed touches) Then you just simple place the window planter on top of the two brackets and you are done.  You will notice the metal mounting bracket curves up and this holds the window planter in place.

Tested at The Garden Gates and passed with flying colors.  All the Mayne Outdoor products will be available in store and online in the coming days.
