Beth and I are leaving for France in a week on an adventure to find this potter. We have been looking for these pots for some time now and finally have tracked them down. The trip will act as a multipurpose adventure that will included a bicycle ride up Alp de Huez, visiting with friends in Lyon, attending my good friends graduation in Grenoble, riding my bicycle up a few famous mountains, antique shopping for Garden Gate and making a stop in Germany to see some other friends. Beth is very excited to go see this potter because of the superior quality of the product. As always we plan to find great new products for the shop and have a great story to tell when we return. Oh, it’s also our 13th anniversity so I guess that might be something to celebrate. The Garden Gate Guy

We have been the talk of the town with our paint color for our new shutters. I have no idea what the color is but it is paint number 2050-50 from Helm Paint using Benjamin Moore color.

We really do practice what we preach. This is our front garden that is in full bloom with a wonderful display of G.G.Gerbing Azalea that is the backdrop to the boxwood garden. We just added pea gravel as a pathway and mulch under the Iceberg Roses. Beth (my wife) has been begging me to install the pea gravel but I have not been to excited to do it. I really just didn’t feel like going through all the effort to make her happy over pea gravel. Well, with a new commercial being filmed on Monday, I was very interested in having something new for our customers to see.

I walk into the shop this morning and had to take this picture. This was such a great picture of great goodies for Easter. I remember when I would dream of these like this for Easter as a child and only every got drappy old baskets with the hard candy. My kids today have it made with this type of selection of the goodies. The Garden Gate Guy!

This is one of my projects that I have been working on over the years. The W is my favorite place. They let me use my creative juices to come up with great stuff. During the renovations of our home after Katrina beat it up, Aiden, Ashton, Beth,Mr._Cooper.JPG and I moved in for 4 months. If you ever thought about staying at the W but haven’t, you are making a huge mistake. They were the best!
